In Vedic astrology, the Sun is considered as a primary planet and all the planets receive the light from the Sun. But the secrets of all the planets comes when they receive this light from the Sun and give it to Earth, influencing all human life. I understand you will have questions of how it may influence human life, that’s why I am here to explain the concepts of exalted, debilitated, directional strength, and combust. Exalted is the concept that any planet gets maximum strength on some particular house, which we already knew. But when I mention the hidden meaning of understanding through light concept, I mean that a planet gets maximum light from the Sun and gives it to Earth, and influences humans – this is the real meaning of exalted through light concept. For example, Venus exalted in Pisces, Mars exalted in Capricorn, Sun exalted in Aries, Moon exalted in Taurus, Mercury exalted in Virgo, Jupiter exalted in Cancer, Saturn exalted in Libra – they all tell one real meaning on each particular sign that particular planets get maximum light from the Sun and give it to Earth to influence human nature and life. To give a more specific example, the Sun is exalted in Aries from April 14 to May 14. During that time the Sun gives maximum light to India, as this is considered as summer in India. So now you understand Sun exalted is considered as summer.

Now if we talk about debilitated, it is directly opposite to exalted. Generally we consider when planets get weak it is considered as debilitated, but the hidden meaning is that planets not receiving maximum light from the Sun reflect to Earth. An example would be if we take the Sun being debilitated in Libra during October to November, during that time it is considered winter in India, so no sunshine and cloudy atmosphere. Now you can understand exalted and debilitated always have an influence on light.

If we talk about combust, we can apply the same light concept here. The Sun is the source of light, so when planets get closer to the largest source of light they must lose their own light and identity. For example, if you drive a car at night you use your beam of light to see the roads, but when opposite cars come with their high beam of light you aren’t able to see the roads and drive because in front of that larger source of light this tiny source loses its identity. Now you can understand the combust concept.

If we talk about directional strength, we already know Jupiter and Mercury get directional strength in the 1st house, Moon and Venus in 4th, Saturn in 7th, and Sun and Mars in 10th. But what does directional strength mean, and how can we understand directional strength by using light? Let me explain now. People born at midnight mostly have Moon in 3rd or 4th or 5th house. This is the concept of the Moon giving maximum light to Earth, as midnight the closest point of the Moon giving maximum light to Earth is 4th house, closing near to that maximum light to give maximum light is 3rd house, and moving away from the maximum light is 5th house.

Now I will explain the same concept with the Sun. People born before noon, at noon, or before evening have Sun in 9th, 10th, 11th houses in their chart. The Sun gives maximum light source to Earth at noon, so people born at noon have Sun in 10th in their chart. If they are born before noon they have Sun in 9th in their chart. And if they are born after noon they have Sun in 11th in their chart. So the concept of directional strength is nothing except planets at a particular point give maximum light source to the Earth. I can explain it with another example. The Sun loses its directional strength on 4th, and the Moon loses its directional strength on 10th. If you consider 4th house as night, the Sun does not give light at night, so it loses directional strength in chart on 4th. The Moon can’t give light at day, so it loses directional strength in 10th on chart. Therefore, the thing here is that there is always a connection with lights, planets, and Vedic astrology. So if you understand Vedic astrology as light, you can start to understand the real secrets of life. VEDIC ASTROLOGY IS USED TO UNDERSTAND SECRETS OF LIFE
