SECRETS OF SIDEREAL ASTROLOGY: RAHU

      First off, happy FULL Moon in Virgo! Vedic astrology has many secrets of each different planet. Out of nine planets today I loved to explain about one of the most interesting shadow planets, known as Rahu or the North Node in Tropical system. What is Rahu? Who is Rahu? What does Rahu offer?  Rahu is intersection point of Sun and Moon in the celestial sphere. Rahu does not have any shape, so the Rahu is consider as the shadow planet in Vedic Astrology. Rahu does not rule any houses in Vedic astrology but, it has capabilities to under take control of the house it’s placed and under take the control of planets it’s conjunct! Basically, Rahu is a planet of any extreme, it means what we are given by Rahu offers always very extreme matters. The good things or even bad things the Rahu can give in extreme ways. An overload in other words. The good or bad things given by Rahu is so powerful, it’s the most powerful in Vedic Astrology. You can see lot of celebrities who enter in to the respective field and gained more fame during the Rahu period. At the same time we can see a lot of powerful people, who are so powerful and became zero on the Rahu period. So Rahu is the only planet who make us as a hero to zero or zero to hero in almost an instant sensation. The nature of Rahu is a shadow planet of dissatisfaction, it’s considered as endless hunger planet, a never ending full cup so to say. it means it have head it doesn’t have body. Because in Sanskrit the head of the serpent was cut off it means Rahu eats a lot but never fills up because the body (Ketu) is detached.

So whatever Rahu saw, it consumes but it doesn’t get the satisfaction, because it doesn’t have the body attached to get digestion to enjoy the food that Rahu’s head eats. Rahu is a planet of anything in illegal such as things like gamblings, unwanted affairs, same gender relationship(LGBTQI+), under world activities, virus, incurable diseases. In simple words that anything agains the universal law or nature law comes under Rahu influence.

How to predict using Rahu in Vedic astrology? Rahu is one of the most unpredictable signs and it’s different to calculate in Vedic charts. But we do have some rules to predict using Rahu.

First, know that Rahu is powerful in the signs of Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn and it do extremely well in the houses of 3, 6, 10 & 11. Why do we choose these five signs for Rahu? Because the sun is exalted in Aries and Moon is exalted in Taurus and Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and Mercury is exalted in Virgo and Mars is exalted in Capricorn, thats why we chose these five signs are powerful for Rahu if in the chart or if catching it on an upcoming transit.

But in deep prediction with all five signs it conjunct or aspect by Jupiter or Venus like conjunct with Jupiter and aspected by Venus or Conjunct with Venus and aspected by the Jupiter without any malefic aspect and placed in 3 or 11 means then the Rahu is consider as most powerful and do it goodness on its dasas. Both Britney Spears and Matthew McConaughey have Rahu in the 11th house.

Suppose if the Rahu in the house of Mars or Saturn signs like Aries or Scorpio or Capricorn or Aquarius with either a conjunction of Saturn and aspected by Mars or conjunct Mars and aspected by Saturn means that Rahu will get highly malefic and do highly do bad things which can’t express to any one. Apart from this Rahu in houses of Jupiter signs like Sagittarius or Pisces and in the house of Venus signs like Taurus and Libra with out any malefic conjunction or aspect means its do good.

How Rahu give results in chart? Rahu will behave like the lord of sign it placed and planets it conjunct and planets it has aspected and planets placed Kendra houses from it, and finally only it act like the Nakshatra lord its placed. The Rahu dasa have nine Antadasa. If so, first six antardasha do good means then last three antardasa will be bad or first six antardasa is do bad means remaining three antardasa will be good. For example, in Rahu dasa, the Rahu antardasa, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Ketu and Venus antadasa do good means them from end of Venus dasa the problem will start and remain Sun, Moon, Mars antadasa will be very challenging.

Suppose in Rahu dasa, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Ketu, Venus antardasa do bad means then from end of Venus dasa the remaining sun moon mars antadasa will do good and sometimes bring fame. Generally people who used to say that what the good things given by Rahu, will gone at end of Rahu dasa. It’s not 100% because we have to consider the strength of Jupiter’s placement, which is a next dasa after the Rahu dasa. If Jupiter is strong in the native’s chart, the good things given by Rahu will remain if Jupiter is weak then only what are things give by Rahu will come to an end at end of Rahu dasa.
