Vedic astrology is made up of a lot of divisional charts, all divisional charts are derived from D1 so we can say that D1 is a body and all the derived charts from D1 (Rashi chart) are like shadows so that what we have on our body only reflect on our shadows for sure. So here I love to share one of the most important divisional charts, the D9 chart(Navamsas) or Navamsa chart in Vedic astrology. Vedic Astrology consists of 27 Nakshatras and 108 padas, here I want to make it clear padas means parts. The Nakshatras are divided into padas and padas of D1 (Vedic natal) in planets are equal to signs in D9(Navamsa). It means when Nakshatra falls in particular planets in D1 which is equal to signs of D9 in Vedic Astrology. For example, Aries consider as a first sign in Vedic Astrology and Ashwini consider as the first Nakshatra in Vedic Astrology. So in the Ashwini Nakshatra and pada 1 it is considered as first pada in Vedic Astrology. So we can say like planets fall in Ashwini pada 1 in D1 it is considered as the planet that falls in the sign of Aries in D9. Than that means pada 2 is Taurus and pada 3 means Gemini and pada 4 means Cancer. So after all 4 padas in Ashwini than Bharani will comes so Bharani pada 1 which means Leo (Here the sign order will continue) Bharani pada 2 means Virgo, Bharani pada 3 means Libra Bharani pada 4 means Scorpio etc.
So the basically the d9 can say like Nakshatra pada of D1 which is equal to D9.
I already said I don’t consider exalted and debilitated aspects in D9, because I strongly believe that the shadows don’t have any concept like this. Only D1 haves this exalted and debilitated mindset in our chart for sure.
Then how we can predict the strength of planets in d9? Yes, yes this can be possible through the signs of D9. For example, Sagittarius Pisces, Libra, Taurus, Virgo, and Gemini if some in full moon mean then considered Cancer. So here is the order of strength of planets in D9:
1. Sagittarius
2. Pisces
3. Libra
4. Taurus
5. Virgo
6. Gemini
If a person is born on a full moon means then Cancer becomes top of Sagittarius sign.
So when the planets fall in this signs it means then it is considered as the most strength in D9 or Navamsa divisional chart. So based on the strength we can only consider it as benefic nature of d9 divisional chart. For example if planets is exalted in d1 like Venus in Pisces so that planets falls in Sagittarius in D9 which means than it can be considered as one of most powerful planets in a chart. The same wise if Mars get debilitated in D1, but it falls in Pisces or in the sign of Libra in D9, this means that the planet gets 50 percent of it’s strength, to give positivity to a person based on the chart. So this is the simple concept to understand the strength of planets in both D1 (Rashi chart) and D9(Navamsa) in our chart.
Why do we consider these particular signs in D9?
Because the Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury full moon are considered benefic planets in the D1(Rashi) that’s why these signs are considered the most powerful sign of D9 and most positive signs of D9 for sure.
